On February 16, the Kommersant publication published an article “Pellets are asking for travel” about the situation around transport subsidies for biofuel exporters. In the article, experts from the timber industry presented their opinions and dynamics of development of this issue.

On January 29, the Rossiyskaya Gazeta published an article “What prevents Russian utility companies from using biofuel.” In the article, industry experts shared their opinions on the development of the domestic market for biofuel consumption and spoke about the experience of using biofuels in public energy.

On January 16, the Rossiyskaya Gazeta published an article “Biofuel producers in the Northwestern Federal District are looking for new markets.” In the article, the executive director of the Association, Vladimir Mammatov, spoke about how Russian pellet producers plan to reorient themselves to the markets of China and Mongolia.

On December 21, the Kommersant publication published an article about the results of the Russian timber industry in 2023. The Union's executive director gave an extended interview in which he outlined key industry events and development drivers for the near future.

The Union shared the successes of NGOs in supporting the industry and in international cooperation. As a transformation of the domestic market, Vladimir Mammatov noted the areas of application of biofuel in municipal energy.

On October 12, 2023, in the capital of Mongolia, the city of Ulaanbaatar, during the largest exhibition in the field of mining and heavy industry, a round table “Russia and Mongolia: strategic partnership” was held.

At the invitation of the Trade Representation of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, at the round table, the Russian Pellet Union presented its vision of solving the issue of reducing air pollution in the capital of Mongolia.

At the St. Petersburg International Forestry Forum on September 26 and 27, 2023, discussions were held on current issues in the Russian forestry industry.

The Russian Pellet Union presented a report on the topic “Transformation of the Russian biofuel market and promising directions for the integrated use of wood resources.”

On September 5, 2023, the fourth meeting of the Russian-Mongolian Working Group on cooperation in the field of industry of the Russian-Mongolian Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation was held via videoconferencing in Moscow and Ulaanbaatar.

At the invitation of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, within the framework of the meeting, the Russian Pellet Union presented its vision of resolving the issue of reducing air pollution in the capital of Mongolia.
