At the next meeting of the operational headquarters in the Ministry of Industry and Trade, they discussed the problems of logistics and new opportunities for Russian exporters. Companies from the list of participants of the Russian Pellet Union are present at each operational headquarters in order to be aware of the latest events and make prompt decisions in the current market conditions.

Vladimir Mammatov, Executive Director of the Association "Russian Pellet Union", on September 13, 2022, within the framework of the exhibition "Lesdrevmash-2022" at the international Biofuel Congress "Energy from biomass: boiler houses and thermal power plants for biofuel, production of pellets, briquettes, biocoal and wood chips" presented report on the topic “Domestic wood biofuel market, anti-crisis solutions and new consumers”.

The Russian Pellet Union (RPU) is hosting a webinar on "Changes to the requirements of the leading European certification systems for wood pellets", which will be held on Friday, March 11, 2022 at 8.30 – 10.45 CET. 

Today, all leading European certification systems for wood pellets are either finalising their work on the development of their requirements, or have already started to implement them.

The Russian Pellet Union (RPU), in order to protect its business reputation and exclude a discriminatory approach to Russian pellet producers, interacts with the holders of the leading European certification systems and closely monitors the procedures for amending existing certification standards.

In particular, since 2021, the RPU has been actively working with the holders of the SBP certification system, directed against a radical change in the SBP standards.

On 24 November 2021, the European Pellet Council (EPC) General Assembly has accepted the Russian Pellet Union as a full member of the EPC. The meeting was held in person in Brussels, where our representative Rens Hartkamp gave a presentation about the latest achievements of the RPU. 
The Russian Pellet Union will now enjoy all privileges as other EPC full members, and can actively contribute to the development of the EPC and the certification system ENplus.
