On July 17, Beijing hosted the 18th meeting of the Permanent Russian-Chinese Working Group on the Development and Use of Forest Resources. The parties discussed key issues of cooperation in the forest industry, strengthening cooperation between the two countries and creating a favorable business environment.

At the invitation of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, within the framework of the meeting, the Russian Pellet Union submitted a request from the industry community to open the Chinese market for the import of Russian pellets.

The Analytical Center under the Government of the Russian Federation held a meeting with industry experts on the development of the biofuel industry in the face of sanctions pressure.

As part of the meeting, the Russian Pellet Union presented a report on the topic "Potential for diversification of markets for pellet products."

On April 27, 2023, Tatyana Gigel, a member of the Committee of the Federation Council on Agrarian Food Policy and Environmental Management, held a meeting of the Expert Advisory Council on the Forestry Complex under the profile Committee of the Federation Council on the topic "Problems and prospects for the use of biofuels in public utilities."

Within the framework of the meeting, the Russian Pellet Union presented a report on the topic “Biofuel production as an element of the Strategy for socio-economic development”.

The Biofuel Congress is an annual event that attracts the views of many representatives of the Russian timber industry.

The Russian Pellet Union made a presentation at the Congress and this year devoted report to the development of the domestic biofuel consumption market in the context of a decline in export volumes caused by various limiting factors.

The Federation Council hosted a meeting of the Expert Advisory Council for the Forestry Complex under the Committee on Agrarian Food Policy and Nature Management. The event was held by the head of the Expert Council, Senator of the Russian Federation Tatyana Gigel.

On November 22, 2022, Vladimir Mammatov, Executive Director of the Association “Russian Pellet Union”, took part in the work of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Committee on Entrepreneurship in the Timber Industry.

At the next meeting of the operational headquarters in the Ministry of Industry and Trade, they discussed the problems of logistics and new opportunities for Russian exporters.
