1 December 2021, the Russian Pellet Union together with the Trade Representation of the Russian Federation in Japan held a webinar for Russian wood pellet suppliers and interested Japanese stakeholders. Representatives of the largest Japanese wood pellet distributors and end-users, as well as renowned consulting companies took part in the event.
The Russian Pellet Union interacts with the owners of certification systems and closely monitors the revision procedures of certification standards.
The SBP standards are currently being revised and the second and final stakeholder consultation round is underway. The Russian Pellet Union has studied the proposed changes and discussed them with its members.
On October 11, 2021, by Order of JSC Russian Railways No. 2185r, the Self-Regulatory Organization Association Russian Pellet Union, was included in the Working Group of JSC Russian Railways "Development of Solid Biofuel (Pellet) Transportation".
Participation in the working group of Russian Railways is a direct dialogue between the Russian pellet industry and representatives of the natural monopoly!
The Russian Pellet Union in collaboration with Bioenergy Europe are hosting the webinar: “Russian wood pellet supply: Rising production, latest changes in European demand and requirements, new opportunities”, taking place on Wednesday the 20nd of October, 10 AM -12 PM CEST.
The event mainly focusses on the present growth of the wood pellet industry in Russia and how it can meet the European pellet demand.
On November 30, 2021, in Moscow within the framework of the Woodex exhibition, the traditional conference “Fuel pellets, briquettes and wood chips: production, sales, consumption” will be held, which IAA “INFOBIO” and the magazine “International Bioenergy” organizes every two years. Traditionally, the event gathers the largest audience of biofuel specialists in Russia.
On August 20, the filing of documents for the provision of subsidies from the federal budget to organizations to compensate for part of the costs associated with the certification of products in foreign markets starts. The corresponding order was issued by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia. The selection of applications will last one month.
On July 30, 2021, a meeting initiated by the RPU was held at the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.
The meeting, with the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and JSC Russian Export Center, was devoted to the issues of changing the scheme of subsidizing transport costs and reducing the tariff of JSC Russian Railways.
