The Russian Pellet Union Association presented a report at the Russian Biofuels forum
On February 28 and 29, 2024, a practical business forum “Biofuels of Russia” was held at the site of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Komi Republic.
It was no coincidence that the Komi Republic, as one of the leading timber regions of the country, took the initiative to hold the “Biofuels of Russia” forum. One of the priority areas for the development of the region's timber industry is briquette or pellet production from wood waste and small-scale low-grade wood.
On the first day of the forum, participants heard reports from industry experts; on the second, practical day of the “Biofuels of Russia” forum, its participants traveled about 220 km, visiting three municipal districts of the Komi Republic associated with forests. They saw two forestry enterprises developing bioenergy using wood pulp, including a member of the Association - SevLesPil LLC.
