It's not a secret for anyone that such a criterion of fuel pellets as color cannot serve as an unconditional indicator of their high or low quality. However, buyers and consumers often pay special attention to this characteristic. From time to time, disputes arise between manufacturers and buyers due to the fact that the color or shade of wood fuel pellets can be completely different in photographs and in «live».

To unify the «color» criterion, the Russian Pellet Union has developed a completely new system for digitizing the amount of «color», which will be very useful to manufacturers who produce, first of all, premium granules.

We would like to share with you a system for quantifying the «color» of wood pellets and discuss the implementation of this system as an RPU standard.
